Holt (as I am known by good friends) created Rock Road Pictures in 2009.
I have been working in the Film/Video/Print production world since 1993. I dabbled in nearly every department over the first 6 years in the "business": Camera/Sound/Lighting & Grip/Production/Location Scouting/Art Department/ even Wardrobe shopping.
As confusing as it sounds, it gave me great insight into all aspects of the production world and what is needed and expected. I moved into producing in 2000. I sometimes worked as a 2nd unit director or director on my company's own projects, often shooting those projects, as well.
I have procured crews and talent all over the world - Paris, Malawi, London, China, Venezuela & Johannesburg to name a few. I have produced shoots in the LA/San Diego area, Northern California, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, South Carolina, Indiana, Massachusetts, DC Region, New York (City and Upstate), and my home state of the last 20+ years - New Jersey.
I take pride in locating and providing the best talent to ensure that the project is as successful as imagined. I love working with new crews and old friends. It is easily one of my favorite aspects of my work.
Planning and running the shoot is an important task to create a comfortable experience for everyone. I want all persons to feel that they are part of the process and they have VALUE.
I have worked with many "real people" whether it be a documentary/corporate shoot or a commercial. I have worked with many celebrities and CEOs and I hold my discretion in a high regard. Everyone is treated like A list, whether they are considered that in the outside world or not.
